Okay, I'm a bit tired so I guess it is time to reveal the new forums to you. I still need to do a lot more configuration over the next few days, but I believe I have all the proper permissions set to atleast give you a place to post. Please bare in mind, that I am still making changes so patience is needed. If you have any problem logging into the new forums, post a reply to this thread and I'll look into it. If you can log into the new forums, please post all other issues there instead. I will create a new forum there to address all problems.

All new posts from this point on will not automatically be transfered to the new forums. My goal is to have the new forums up and running by tomorrow; I'll post a link to them once they are ready.
For now though, this forum will not be accepting any new accounts. If you wish to post something, please be prepared to post it again on the new forums or it will remain archived here. I have a lot of little things to configure on the new forums and it will take me approximately 24-48 hours to do so.
Please be patient.
These forums will not be lost, so please don't worry about all our archived information.
While transitioning over to the new forums, some things will not be there at the start. I'm going to set up a series of steps for getting everything up and running.
Step 1: Get all forums, permissions, usergroups, and users set up on the new forums. Then give access to all users. Goal: 12/30/09.
Step 2: Make all needed configuration changes. Goal: 1/5/10.
Step 3: Get all operation from the old forums working on the new forums. Goal: 1/12/10.

Over 100 users were deleted from the forum database this morning. The users deleted had not posted since at least 9/1/09 and had under 5 posts on the forums. I apologize if I deleted anyone in error. If that is the case, please create a new account and I'll see if I can get you recovered.
After the accounts were deleted, I tried to copy our user database to the new forums, but that failed. I have an idea on the why it failed, so I will need to do a little programming before I try again. I have a lot of down time this week, so I'll be working on it all week.

The Griffon Quest Page no longer shows anyone that is marked as Inactive. If you are Active or Not Raiding, you will still show on the list. I also set it so if you check the "I don't want a griffon." box, then you will not show on the list either.
Not that you'll notice, but I saw a few other small coding errors that are now fixed as well.
The trick will be making this all work when we move to the new forums. :)

Alright folks. A move to the new forums is still weeks to a month away. I've done some fun tests with the new forums and I really like the code. Although, I will be requiring a few changes before we move.
First, all new accounts on these forums must be the name of your character in game. First name only. I will be closing registration on these forums about a week prior to the move.
Second, if your current account name is different than your Main characters name, I will be changing it.
Having a one word account does assist with coding. Having your account name the same as your main name just makes it easier for us to figure out who you are.
So, for those that don't meet the second requirement, please send me a PM and let me know what your main character name is. I really don't want to hunt down each person, but I will do it if I have to. Either way, your name will be updated.
One more thing, anyone that has not posted on the forums in the last 3 months will not be moved automatically to the new forums. I really don't know if I can move the accounts yet, but I'm confident I'll figure it out. Either way,... [Read More]

Everyone welcome our two new officers please: Keiiek and Grunther. Take pity on them, they know not what they do!
Also joining to help out is Juku, who is going to assist Rhad and Alephen with dkp stuffs, and being class lead.
Hopefully I get some more volunteers to help out, I'm working on some guild improvements to make everything run smoother.
I will want at least one more officer in the new year. I will go through the same process sometime in late January.
Also incoming will be some sort of Event Coordinator, to help put together our griffon, PoTA, Salamander caves, BoD and other events.
Grats all, and I want to extend a personal thank you to everyone involved.
